Hisuian Braviary 149/195 · Silver Tempest

Braviary is Pokédex #628, generation 5 (Unova). Hisuian Braviary is a Stage 1 Colorless Pokémon with 120 HP. The card says it evolves from Rufflet. In this catalog that name is Rufflet (#627).

Hisuian Braviary sits at 149/195 in Silver Tempest, position 149 of 215. Before it is 148 Rufflet, and after it is 150 Fletchling. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on November 11, 2022. The printed size is 195. This checklist is longer, at 215 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Eerie Cry lists no damage number. Put 3 damage counters on each of your opponent's Pokémon that has any damage counters on it. Mind Bend is another attack lists 80 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Confused. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Screaming a bloodcurdling battle cry, this huge and ferocious bird Pokémon goes out on the hunt. It blasts lakes with shock waves, then scoops up any prey that float to the water's surface." The regulation mark is F.

Braviary (#628) has 13 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Braviary 88/98 in Emerging Powers (2011). That card is named Braviary, while this one is Hisuian Braviary. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Masakazu Fukuda illustrated that card, and Jiro Sasumo illustrated this one. 12 other cards of Braviary list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Jiro Sasumo. I count 29 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Silver Tempest set binder is where a full Silver Tempest set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Braviary can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). Themed lists that include this exact card are Hisuian and Paldean forms. I still need this card.
