Braviary 93/114 · Steam Siege

Steam Siege is a set in the XY series. It was released on August 3, 2016. The printed size is 114. This checklist is longer, at 116 cards. Braviary is 93/114, in position 93 of 116 on this checklist. Before it is 92 Rufflet, and after it is 94 Fletchling. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Braviary is a Stage 1 Colorless Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Braviary (#628), generation 5 (Unova). The card says it evolves from Rufflet. In this catalog that name is Rufflet (#627).

Kyoko Umemoto illustrated this card. The same name is on 174 other cards in the catalog.

Braviary (#628) has 13 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Braviary 88/98 in Emerging Powers (2011). That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Masakazu Fukuda illustrated that card, and Kyoko Umemoto illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 12 other cards of Braviary list a different HP.

The attack Ambush lists 20+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 50 more damage. Sky Drop is another attack lists 120- damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 120 damage minus 20 damage for each Colorless in your opponent's Active Pokémon's Retreat Cost. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "They fight for their friends without any thought about danger to themselves. One can carry a car while flying."

I keep a set binder for Steam Siege, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Steam Siege set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Braviary can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
