Scizor V 183/189 · Darkness Ablaze

Scizor is Pokédex #212, generation 2 (Johto). Scizor V is a Basic V Metal Pokémon with 210 HP.

Scizor V sits at 183/189 in Darkness Ablaze, position 183 of 201. Before it is 182 Crobat V, and after it is 184 Galarian Stunfisk V. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on August 14, 2020. The printed size is 189. This checklist is longer, at 201 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Ultra.

The attack Hack Off lists 30 damage. The cost is Metal. Discard a Pokémon Tool and a Special Energy from your opponent's Active Pokémon. Slashing Claw is another attack lists 140 damage. The cost is Metal, Metal, Colorless. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Grass -30. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: V rule: When your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is D.

Scizor (#212) has 35 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Scizor 33/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card is named Scizor, while this one is Scizor V. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 210 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Ultra. Hironobu Yoshida illustrated that card, and Satoshi Shirai illustrated this one. 30 other cards of Scizor list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Satoshi Shirai. I count 50 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Darkness Ablaze set binder is where a full Darkness Ablaze set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Scizor can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
