Raikou 50/185 · Vivid Voltage

Raikou is Pokédex #243, generation 2 (Johto). Raikou is a Basic Lightning Pokémon with 110 HP.

Raikou sits at 50/185 in Vivid Voltage, position 50 of 203. Before it is 49 Ampharos V, and after it is 51 Electrike. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on November 13, 2020. The printed size is 185. This checklist is longer, at 203 cards. The listed rarity is Amazing Rare.

The attack Amazing Shot lists 120 damage. The cost is Grass, Lightning, Metal. This attack also does 120 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "This rough Pokémon stores energy inside its body, then sweeps across the land, shooting off electricity." The regulation mark is D.

Raikou (#243) has 26 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 19 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Raikou 13/64 in Neo Revelation (2001). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 110 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Amazing Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Hideki Ishikawa illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 25 other cards of Raikou list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Hideki Ishikawa. I count 100 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Vivid Voltage set binder is where a full Vivid Voltage set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Raikou can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
