Lapras VMAX SV111/122 · Shining Fates Shiny Vault

Shining Fates Shiny Vault is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on February 19, 2021. The printed size is 122, and the checklist is the same length. Lapras VMAX is SV111/122, in position 111 of 122 on this checklist. Before it is SV110 Lapras V, and after it is SV112 Toxtricity V. The listed rarity is Rare Holo VMAX.

Lapras VMAX is a VMAX Water Pokémon with 320 HP. In the Pokédex this is Lapras (#131), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Lapras V. In this catalog that name is Lapras (#131).

5ban Graphics illustrated this card. The same name is on 1,629 other cards in the catalog.

Lapras (#131) has 49 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 37 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Lapras 10/62 in Fossil (1999). That card is named Lapras, while this one is Lapras VMAX. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 320 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Holo VMAX. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 47 other cards of Lapras list a different HP.

The attack G-Max Pump lists 90+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 30 more damage for each Water Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: VMAX rule: When your Pokémon VMAX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards. The regulation mark is D.

I keep a set binder for Shining Fates Shiny Vault, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Shining Fates Shiny Vault set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lapras can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are VMAX cards and All Lapras cards. I still need this card.
