Espeon V 64/203 · Evolving Skies

Espeon is Pokédex #196, generation 2 (Johto). Espeon V is a Basic V Psychic Pokémon with 200 HP.

Espeon V sits at 64/203 in Evolving Skies, position 64 of 237. Before it is 63 Galarian Articuno, and after it is 65 Espeon VMAX. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on August 27, 2021. The printed size is 203. This checklist is longer, at 237 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo V.

The attack Zen Shot lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic. This attack does 60 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokémon V. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Super Psy Bolt is another attack lists 120 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: V rule: When your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is E.

Espeon (#196) has 39 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 26 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Espeon 1/75 in Neo Discovery (2001). That card is named Espeon, while this one is Espeon V. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 200 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Holo V. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 31 other cards of Espeon list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Evolving Skies set binder is where a full Evolving Skies set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Espeon can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions. I still need this card.
