Galarian Cursola 118/264 · Fusion Strike

Fusion Strike is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on November 12, 2021. The printed size is 264. This checklist is longer, at 284 cards. Galarian Cursola is 118/264, in position 118 of 284 on this checklist. Before it is 117 Galarian Corsola, and after it is 119 Mawile. The listed rarity is Rare.

Galarian Cursola is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Cursola (#864), generation 8 (Galar). The card says it evolves from Galarian Corsola. In this catalog that name is Corsola (#222).

Misa Tsutsui illustrated this card. The same name is on 94 other cards in the catalog.

Cursola (#864) has 4 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 3 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2020 to 2021. The earliest other card is Galarian Cursola 79/192 in Rebel Clash (2020). Both list 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Misa Tsutsui illustrated this one. The regulation mark there is D, and here it is E. 2 other cards of Cursola list a different HP.

The attack Force Regeneration lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic. Put a Basic Pokémon V from your opponent's discard pile onto their Bench. If you do, put damage counters on that Pokémon until its remaining HP is 30. Spooky Shot is another attack lists 80 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Be cautious of the ectoplasmic body surrounding its soul. You'll become stiff as stone if you touch it." The regulation mark is E.

I keep a set binder for Fusion Strike, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Fusion Strike set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Cursola can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). Themed lists that include this exact card are Galarian forms. I still need this card.
