Galarian Cursola V 21/73 · Champion's Path

Cursola is Pokédex #864, generation 8 (Galar). Galarian Cursola V is a Basic V Psychic Pokémon with 190 HP.

Galarian Cursola V sits at 21/73 in Champion's Path, position 21 of 80. Before it is 20 Hatterene, and after it is 22 Alcremie V. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on September 25, 2020. The printed size is 73. This checklist is longer, at 80 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo V.

Gnawing Aura is listed as Ability. As long as this Pokémon is in the Active Spot, whenever your opponent attaches an Energy card from their hand to 1 of their Pokémon, put 3 damage counters on that Pokémon. The attack Hollow Missile lists 60 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Put 3 damage counters on your opponent's Benched Pokémon in any way you like. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: V rule: When your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is D.

Cursola (#864) has 4 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 4 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2020 to 2021. The earliest other card is Galarian Cursola 79/192 in Rebel Clash (2020). That card is named Galarian Cursola, while this one is Galarian Cursola V. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 190 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Holo V. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 3 other cards of Cursola list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Champion's Path set binder is where a full Champion's Path set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Cursola can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). Themed lists that include this exact card are Galarian forms. I still need this card.
