Hatterene 20/73 · Champion's Path

Champion's Path is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on September 25, 2020. The printed size is 73. This checklist is longer, at 80 cards. Hatterene is 20/73, in position 20 of 80 on this checklist. Before it is 19 Hattrem, and after it is 21 Galarian Cursola V. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Hatterene is a Stage 2 Psychic Pokémon with 150 HP. In the Pokédex this is Hatterene (#858), generation 8 (Galar). The card says it evolves from Hattrem. In this catalog that name is Hattrem (#857).

Naoki Saito illustrated this card. The same name is on 270 other cards in the catalog.

Hatterene (#858) has 7 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 6 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2019 to 2023. The earliest other card is Hatterene V SWSH055/307 in SWSH Black Star Promos (2019). That card is named Hatterene V, while this one is Hatterene. That card lists 200 HP, and this one lists 150 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. PLANETA Igarashi illustrated that card, and Naoki Saito illustrated this one. 5 other cards of Hatterene list a different HP.

Hazard Sensor is listed as Ability. If this Pokémon is in the Active Spot and is damaged by an attack from your opponent's Pokémon (even if this Pokémon is Knocked Out), the Attacking Pokémon is now Confused. The attack Life Sucker lists 100 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Heal 30 damage from this Pokémon. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It emits psychic power strong enough to cause headaches as a deterrent to the approach of others." The regulation mark is D.

I keep a set binder for Champion's Path, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Champion's Path set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Hatterene can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). I still need this card.
