Espeon VMAX 270/264 · Fusion Strike

Espeon is Pokédex #196, generation 2 (Johto). Espeon VMAX is a VMAX Psychic Pokémon with 310 HP. The card says it evolves from Espeon V. In this catalog that name is Espeon (#196).

Espeon VMAX sits at 270/264 in Fusion Strike, position 270 of 284. Before it is 269 Mew VMAX, and after it is 271 Gengar VMAX. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on November 12, 2021. The printed size is 264. This checklist is longer, at 284 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 264. The listed rarity is Rare Rainbow.

Solar Revelation is listed as Ability. Prevent all effects of attacks from your opponent's Pokémon done to all of your Pokémon that have Energy attached.(Existing effects are not removed. Damage is not an effect.) The attack Max Mindstorm lists 60× damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 60 damage for each Energy attached to all of your opponent's Pokémon. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: VMAX rule: When your Pokémon VMAX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards. The regulation mark is E.

Espeon (#196) has 39 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 25 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Espeon 1/75 in Neo Discovery (2001). That card is named Espeon, while this one is Espeon VMAX. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 310 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Rainbow. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. 38 other cards of Espeon list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kouki Saitou. I count 652 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Fusion Strike set binder is where a full Fusion Strike set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Espeon can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions and VMAX cards. I still need this card.
