Pyukumuku 77/264 · Fusion Strike

Fusion Strike is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on November 12, 2021. The printed size is 264. This checklist is longer, at 284 cards. Pyukumuku is a Basic Water Pokémon with 80 HP. In the Pokédex this is Pyukumuku (#771), generation 7 (Alola).

Tomokazu Komiya illustrated this card. The same name is on 248 other cards in the catalog.

Pyukumuku (#771) has 4 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 4 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2019. The earliest other card is Pyukumuku 47/149 in Sun & Moon (2017). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. You Iribi illustrated that card, and Tomokazu Komiya illustrated this one. 2 other cards of Pyukumuku list a different HP.

Pitch a Pyukumuku is listed as Ability. Once during your turn, if this Pokémon is in your hand, you may reveal it and put it on the bottom of your deck. If you do, draw a card. You can't use more than 1 Pitch a Pyukumuku Ability each turn. The attack Knuckle Punch lists 50 damage. The cost is Water, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It's covered in a slime that keeps its skin moist, allowing it to stay on land for days without drying up." The regulation mark is E.

I keep a set binder for Fusion Strike, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Fusion Strike set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Pyukumuku can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). Themed lists that include this exact card are Tomokazu Komiya cards. I still need this card.
