Wormadam 10/172 · Brilliant Stars

Brilliant Stars is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on February 25, 2022. The printed size is 172. This checklist is longer, at 186 cards. Wormadam is 10/172, in position 10 of 186 on this checklist. Before it is 9 Burmy, and after it is 11 Mothim. The listed rarity is Rare.

Wormadam is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 110 HP. In the Pokédex this is Wormadam (#413), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Burmy. In this catalog that name is Burmy (#412).

Yuka Morii illustrated this card. The same name is on 204 other cards in the catalog.

Wormadam (#413) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 5 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2022. The earliest other card is Wormadam Plant Cloak 41/132 in Secret Wonders (2007). That card is named Wormadam Plant Cloak, while this one is Wormadam. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 110 HP. Both list the rarity Rare. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Yuka Morii illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 9 other cards of Wormadam list a different HP.

The attack Matron's Anger lists 30+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 10 more damage for each Pokémon in your discard pile. Leaf Drain is another attack lists 80 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless, Colorless. Heal 30 damage from this Pokémon. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "When Burmy evolved, its cloak became a part of this Pokémon's body. The cloak is never shed." The regulation mark is F.

I keep a set binder for Brilliant Stars, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Brilliant Stars set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Wormadam can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Yuka Morii clay cards. I still need this card.
