Gourgeist 57/146 · XY

Gourgeist is Pokédex #711, generation 6 (Kalos). Gourgeist is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 100 HP. The card says it evolves from Pumpkaboo. In this catalog that name is Pumpkaboo (#710).

Gourgeist sits at 57/146 in XY, position 57 of 146. Before it is 56 Pumpkaboo, and after it is 58 Diglett. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on February 5, 2014. The printed size is 146, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

The attack Eerie Voice lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic. Put 2 damage counters each of your opponent's Pokémon. Spirit Scream is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic, Psychic. Put damage counters on both Active Pokémon until the remaining HP of each Pokémon is 10. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Singing in eerie voices, they wander town streets on the night of the new moon. Anyone who hears their song is cursed."

Gourgeist (#711) has 6 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 5 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2014 to 2026. The earliest other card is Gourgeist 45/119 in Phantom Forces (2014). Both list 100 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Kanako Eo illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 5 other cards of Gourgeist list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

XY set binder is where a full XY set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Gourgeist can fill a slot in Generation 6 binder (Kalos). I still need this card.
