Lugia BREAK 79/124 · Fates Collide

Lugia is Pokédex #249, generation 2 (Johto). Lugia BREAK is a BREAK Colorless Pokémon with 150 HP. The card says it evolves from Lugia. In this catalog that name is Lugia (#249).

Lugia BREAK sits at 79/124 in Fates Collide, position 81 of 129. Before it is 78 Lugia, and after it is 80 Whismur. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on May 2, 2016. The printed size is 124. This checklist is longer, at 129 cards. The listed rarity is Rare BREAK.

The attack Flash of Destruction lists 150 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Discard 2 Energy attached to this Pokémon. The card text says: BREAK Evolution Rule: Lugia BREAK retains the attacks, Abilities, Weakness, Resistance, and Retreat Cost of its previous Evolution.

Lugia (#249) has 38 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 26 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2026. The earliest other card is Lugia 9/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card is named Lugia, while this one is Lugia BREAK. That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 150 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare BREAK. Hironobu Yoshida illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 38 other cards of Lugia list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Fates Collide set binder is where a full Fates Collide set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lugia can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are BREAK Evolution and All Lugia cards. I still need this card.
