Shedinja 11/108 · Roaring Skies

Roaring Skies is a set in the XY series. It was released on May 6, 2015. The printed size is 108. This checklist is longer, at 112 cards. Shedinja is 11/108, in position 11 of 112 on this checklist. Before it is 10 Ninjask, and after it is 12 Tropius. The listed rarity is Rare.

Shedinja is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 30 HP. In the Pokédex this is Shedinja (#292), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Nincada. In this catalog that name is Nincada (#290).

Aya Kusube illustrated this card. The same name is on 127 other cards in the catalog.

Shedinja (#292) has 9 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 8 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2025. The earliest other card is Shedinja 11/97 in Dragon (2003). Both list 30 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Aya Kusube illustrated this one. 7 other cards of Shedinja list a different HP.

The attack Cursed Rain lists no damage number. The cost is Grass. Put 1 damage counter on each of your opponent's Pokémon. Switch this Pokémon with 1 of your Benched Pokémon. Hopeless Scream is another attack lists 50× damage. The cost is Colorless. This attack does 50 damage times the number of damage counters on this Pokémon. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "A most peculiar Pokémon that somehow appears in a Poké Ball when a Nincada evolves."

I keep a set binder for Roaring Skies, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Roaring Skies set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Shedinja can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
