Ursaring 122/162 · BREAKthrough

Ursaring is Pokédex #217, generation 2 (Johto). Ursaring is a Stage 1 Colorless Pokémon with 130 HP. The card says it evolves from Teddiursa. In this catalog that name is Teddiursa (#216).

Ursaring sits at 122/162 in BREAKthrough, position 122 of 165. Before it is 121 Teddiursa, and after it is 123 Smeargle. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on November 4, 2015. The printed size is 162. This checklist is longer, at 165 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Drag Off lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Switch 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon with his or her Active Pokémon. This attack does 50 damage to the new Active Pokémon. Swing Around is another attack lists 80+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Flip 2 coins. This attack does 40 more damage for each heads. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "Although it has a large body, it is quite skilled at climbing trees. It eats and sleeps in the treetops."

Ursaring (#217) has 15 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2022. The earliest other card is Ursaring 15/75 in Neo Discovery (2001). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Naoyo Kimura illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 12 other cards of Ursaring list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

BREAKthrough set binder is where a full BREAKthrough set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Ursaring can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
