Drapion 54/122 · BREAKpoint

BREAKpoint is a set in the XY series. It was released on February 3, 2016. The printed size is 122. This checklist is longer, at 126 cards. Drapion is 54/122, in position 54 of 126 on this checklist. Before it is 53 Skorupi, and after it is 55 Sigilyph. The listed rarity is Rare.

Drapion is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 130 HP. In the Pokédex this is Drapion (#452), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Skorupi. In this catalog that name is Skorupi (#451).

Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this card. The same name is on 721 other cards in the catalog.

Drapion (#452) has 18 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Drapion 23/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. Both list the rarity Rare. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 4. 16 other cards of Drapion list a different HP.

The attack Poison Claws lists 70 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Colorless. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Poisoned. Heavy Impact is another attack lists 130 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Psychic, Colorless. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 4. The flavor text reads "It has the power in its clawed arms to make scrap of a car. The tips of its claws release poison."

I keep a set binder for BREAKpoint, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the BREAKpoint set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Drapion can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards. I still need this card.
