M Scizor-EX 77/122 · BREAKpoint

Scizor is Pokédex #212, generation 2 (Johto). M Scizor-EX is a MEGA EX Metal Pokémon with 220 HP. The card says it evolves from Scizor-EX. In this catalog that name is Scizor (#212).

M Scizor-EX sits at 77/122 in BREAKpoint, position 77 of 126. Before it is 76 Scizor-EX, and after it is 78 Mawile. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on February 3, 2016. The printed size is 122. This checklist is longer, at 126 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo EX.

The attack Iron Crusher lists 120 damage. The cost is Metal, Metal. You may discard a Special Energy attached to your opponent's Active Pokémon or a Stadium card in play. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Mega Evolution rule: When 1 of your Pokémon becomes a Mega Evolution Pokémon, your turn ends. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Scizor (#212) has 35 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Scizor 33/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card is named Scizor, while this one is M Scizor-EX. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 220 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. Hironobu Yoshida illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 34 other cards of Scizor list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

BREAKpoint set binder is where a full BREAKpoint set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Scizor can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
