Meowstic XY48/211 · XY Black Star Promos

Meowstic is Pokédex #678, generation 6 (Kalos). Meowstic is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Espurr. In this catalog that name is Espurr (#677).

Meowstic sits at XY48/211 in XY Black Star Promos, position 48 of 216. Before it is XY47 Heliolisk, and after it is XY49 Regirock. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on October 12, 2013. The printed size is 211. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

Mysterious Ears is listed as Ability. If this Pokémon is your Active Pokémon and is damaged by an opponent's attack (even if this Pokémon is Knocked Out), the Attacking Pokémon is now Confused. The attack Psyblast lists 60 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, discard an Energy attached to your opponent's Active Pokémon. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "When in danger, it raises its ears and releases enough psychic power to grind a 10-ton truck into dust."

Meowstic (#678) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2014 to 2026. The earliest other card is Meowstic 43/106 in Flashfire (2014). Both list 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Promo. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and kirisAki illustrated this one. 3 other cards of Meowstic list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads kirisAki. I count 189 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

XY Black Star Promos set binder is where a full XY Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Meowstic can fill a slot in Generation 6 binder (Kalos). I still need this card.
