Hoopa XY90/211 · XY Black Star Promos

XY Black Star Promos is a set in the XY series. It was released on October 12, 2013. The printed size is 211. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. Hoopa is XY90/211, in position 91 of 216 on this checklist. Before it is XY89 Pikachu, and after it is XY91 Champions Festival. The listed rarity is Promo.

Hoopa is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 70 HP. In the Pokédex this is Hoopa (#720), generation 6 (Kalos).

Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this card. The same name is on 471 other cards in the catalog.

Hoopa (#720) has 21 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2013 to 2026. The earliest other card is Hoopa-EX XY71/211 in XY Black Star Promos (2013). That card is named Hoopa-EX, while this one is Hoopa. That card lists 170 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. Eske Yoshinob illustrated that card, and Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 21 other cards of Hoopa list a different HP.

The attack Summoning Draw lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. If Pikachu is on your Bench, draw 3 cards. Double Spin is another attack lists 30× damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. Flip 2 coins. This attack does 30 damage times the number of heads. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It gathers things it likes and pushes them through its loop to teleport them to a secret place."

I keep a set binder for XY Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the XY Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Hoopa can fill a slot in Generation 6 binder (Kalos). I still need this card.
