Claydol 64/124 · Dragons Exalted

Dragons Exalted is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on 15 August 2012. The printed size is 124. This checklist is longer, at 128 cards. Claydol is 64/124, in position 64 of 128 on this checklist. Before it is 63 Baltoy, and after it is 65 Roggenrola. The listed rarity is Rare.

Claydol is a Stage 1 Fighting Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Claydol (#344), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Baltoy. In this catalog that name is Baltoy (#343).

Shin Nagasawa illustrated this card. The same name is on 303 other cards in the catalog.

Claydol (#344) has 23 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 20 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2004 to 2026. The earliest other card is Team Magma's Claydol 8/95 in Team Magma vs Team Aqua (2004). That card is named Team Magma's Claydol, while this one is Claydol. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Zu-Ka illustrated that card, and Shin Nagasawa illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 21 other cards of Claydol list a different HP.

The attack Rapid Spin lists 30 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Switch this Pokémon with 1 of your Benched Pokémon. Then, your opponent switches the Defending Pokémon with 1 of his or her Benched Pokémon. Rock Smash is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 more damage. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "An ancient clay figurine that came to life as a Pokémon from exposure to a mysterious ray of light."

I keep a set binder for Dragons Exalted, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Dragons Exalted set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Claydol can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
