Team Magma's Mightyena 19/34 · Double Crisis

Mightyena is Pokédex #262, generation 3 (Hoenn). Team Magma's Mightyena is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 100 HP. The card says it evolves from Team Magma's Poochyena. In this catalog that name is Poochyena (#261).

Team Magma's Mightyena sits at 19/34 in Double Crisis, position 19 of 34. Before it is 18 Team Aqua's Mightyena, and after it is 20 Team Aqua's Carvanha. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on 25 March 2015. The printed size is 34, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Common.

The attack Bite lists 30 damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless. Hostile Fang is another attack lists 80 damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting, Colorless. If your opponent's Active Pokémon is a Team Aqua Pokémon, this attack does 40 more damage. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "This Pokémon is loyal to its master. It will protect its partner to the end, no matter what."

Mightyena (#262) has 23 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Mightyena 10/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card is named Mightyena, while this one is Team Magma's Mightyena. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Common. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Hitoshi Ariga illustrated this one. 20 other cards of Mightyena list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Hitoshi Ariga. I count 155 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Double Crisis set binder is where a full Double Crisis set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mightyena can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Trainer's Pokémon and Team Aqua and Team Magma. I still need this card.
