Jolteon 23/100 · Majestic Dawn

Jolteon is Pokédex #135, generation 1 (Kanto). Jolteon is a Stage 1 Lightning Pokémon with 80 HP. The card lists level 39. The card says it evolves from Eevee. In this catalog that name is Eevee (#133).

Jolteon sits at 23/100 in Majestic Dawn, position 23 of 100. Before it is 22 Infernape, and after it is 24 Leafeon. The set belongs to the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on 1 May 2008. The printed size is 100, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Thunder Fang lists 20 damage. The cost is Lightning. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. Lightning Strike is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Lightning, Lightning, Colorless. You may discard 2 Energy attached to Jolteon. If you do, this attack's base damage is 90 instead of 50. Weakness is Fighting +20. Resistance is Metal -20. The flavor text reads "It controls 10,000-volt power and can raise all the furs on its body as if it were sharp needles."

Jolteon (#135) has 38 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 28 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Jolteon 4/64 in Jungle (1999). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Midori Harada illustrated this one. 35 other cards of Jolteon list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Midori Harada. I count 352 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Majestic Dawn set binder is where a full Majestic Dawn set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Jolteon can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions. I still need this card.
