Infernape 22/100 · Majestic Dawn

Majestic Dawn is a set in the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on 1 May 2008. The printed size is 100, and the checklist is the same length. Infernape is 22/100, in position 22 of 100 on this checklist. Before it is 21 Hippowdon, and after it is 23 Jolteon. The listed rarity is Rare.

Infernape is a Stage 2 Fire Pokémon with 110 HP. The card lists level 46. In the Pokédex this is Infernape (#392), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Monferno. In this catalog that name is Monferno (#391).

Daisuke Ito illustrated this card. The same name is on 47 other cards in the catalog.

Infernape (#392) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2024. The earliest other card is Infernape 5/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 110 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Nakaoka illustrated that card, and Daisuke Ito illustrated this one. 14 other cards of Infernape list a different HP.

The attack Mach Punch lists 30 damage. The cost is Colorless. Does 10 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Mega Bravo is another attack lists 40× damage. The cost is Fire. Discard all Fire Energy attached to Infernape. This attack does 40 damage times the amount of Fire Energy you discarded. Weakness is Water +30. The flavor text reads "Its crown of fire is indicative of its fiery nature. It is beaten by none in terms of quickness."

I keep a set binder for Majestic Dawn, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Majestic Dawn set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Infernape can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
