DP Black Star Promos is a set in the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on 1 May 2007. The printed size is 56, and the checklist is the same length. Infernape LV.X is DP10/56, in position 10 of 56 on this checklist. Before it is DP09 Torterra LV.X, and after it is DP11 Empoleon LV.X. The listed rarity is Promo.
Infernape LV.X is a Level-Up Fire Pokémon with 120 HP. The card lists level X. In the Pokédex this is Infernape (#392), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Infernape. In this catalog that name is Infernape (#392).
Shizurow illustrated this card. The same name is on 79 other cards in the catalog.
Infernape (#392) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2024. The earliest other card is Infernape 5/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card is named Infernape, while this one is Infernape LV.X. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Promo. Nakaoka illustrated that card, and Shizurow illustrated this one. 14 other cards of Infernape list a different HP.
Burning Head is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may look at the top 3 cards of your deck, choose 1 of them, and put it into your hand. Discard the other 2 cards. This power can't be used if Infernape is affected by a Special Condition. The attack Flare Up lists 150 damage. The cost is Fire, Fire. Search your discard pile for 8 Fire Energy cards, show them to your opponent, and shuffle them into your deck. (This attack does nothing if you don't have 8 Fire Energy cards in your discard pile.) Weakness is Water +30. The card text says: Put this card onto your Active Infernape. Infernape LV.X can use any attack, Poké-Power, or Poké-Body from its previous level.
I keep a set binder for DP Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the DP Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Infernape can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Sinnoh starters and Pokémon LV.X. I still need this card.
