Infernape E4 43/111 · Rising Rivals

Rising Rivals is a set in the Platinum series. It was released on 16 May 2009. The printed size is 111. This checklist is longer, at 120 cards. Infernape E4 is 43/111, in position 43 of 120 on this checklist. Before it is 42 Hippowdon E4, and after it is 44 Lairon. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Infernape E4 is a Basic SP Fire Pokémon with 90 HP. The card lists level 55. In the Pokédex this is Infernape (#392), generation 4 (Sinnoh).

Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this card. The same name is on 471 other cards in the catalog.

Infernape (#392) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2024. The earliest other card is Infernape 5/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card is named Infernape, while this one is Infernape E4. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Nakaoka illustrated that card, and Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this one. 16 other cards of Infernape list a different HP.

The attack Split Bomb lists no damage number. The cost is Fire, Colorless. Choose 2 of your opponent's Pokémon. This attack does 20 damage to each of them. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) High Jump Kick is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Fire, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 1.

I keep a set binder for Rising Rivals, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Rising Rivals set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Infernape can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
