Drapion 15/100 · Stormfront

Stormfront is a set in the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on 1 November 2008. The printed size is 100. This checklist is longer, at 106 cards. Drapion is 15/100, in position 15 of 106 on this checklist. Before it is 14 Cherrim, and after it is 16 Drifblim. The listed rarity is Rare.

Drapion is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 110 HP. The card lists level 44. In the Pokédex this is Drapion (#452), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Skorupi. In this catalog that name is Skorupi (#451).

Kent Kanetsuna illustrated this card. The same name is on 74 other cards in the catalog.

Drapion (#452) has 18 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Drapion 23/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 110 HP. Both list the rarity Rare. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and Kent Kanetsuna illustrated this one. 17 other cards of Drapion list a different HP.

The attack Scorpion Grapple lists 10 damage. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. If tails, the Defending Pokémon can't retreat during your opponent's next turn. Cross Poison is another attack lists 20× damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Flip 4 coins. This attack does 20 damage times the number of heads. If 2 or more of them are heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Poisoned. Derail is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Darkness, Darkness, Colorless. Discard all Special Energy cards attached to the Defending Pokémon. Weakness is Psychic +20. Retreat cost is 3.

I keep a set binder for Stormfront, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Stormfront set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Drapion can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
