Rayquaza C LV.X DP47/56 · DP Black Star Promos

DP Black Star Promos is a set in the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on 1 May 2007. The printed size is 56, and the checklist is the same length. Rayquaza C LV.X is DP47/56, in position 47 of 56 on this checklist. Before it is DP46 Garchomp C LV.X, and after it is DP48 Tropical Wind. The listed rarity is Promo.

Rayquaza C LV.X is a Level-Up SP Colorless Pokémon with 120 HP. The card lists level X. In the Pokédex this is Rayquaza (#384), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Rayquaza C. In this catalog that name is Rayquaza (#384).

Shizurow illustrated this card. The same name is on 79 other cards in the catalog.

Rayquaza (#384) has 59 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 30 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Rayquaza ex 39/40 in Nintendo Black Star Promos (2003). That card is named Rayquaza ex, while this one is Rayquaza C LV.X. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. Ryo Ueda illustrated that card, and Shizurow illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 3. 49 other cards of Rayquaza list a different HP.

Dragon Spirit is listed as Poké-Body. If Rayquaza C is your Active Pokémon and is damaged but not Knocked Out by an opponent's attack, you may search your discard pile for an Energy card and attach it to Rayquaza C. The attack Final Blowup lists 200 damage. The cost is Water, Psychic, Fighting, Colorless. Discard all Energy attached to Rayquaza C. Ignore this effect if you have no cards in your hand. Weakness is Colorless ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: Put this card onto your Active Rayquaza C. Rayquaza C LV.X can use any attack, Poké-Power, or Poké-Body from its previous level.

I keep a set binder for DP Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the DP Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Rayquaza can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza, Pokémon LV.X, and All Rayquaza cards. I still need this card.
