Altaria ex δ 90/101 · Dragon Frontiers

Altaria is Pokédex #334, generation 3 (Hoenn). Altaria ex δ is a Stage 1 ex Water Pokémon with 100 HP. The card says it evolves from Swablu. In this catalog that name is Swablu (#333).

Altaria ex δ sits at 90/101 in Dragon Frontiers, position 90 of 101. Before it is 89 Scramble Energy, and after it is 91 Dragonite ex δ. The set belongs to the EX series. It was released on 1 November 2006. The printed size is 101, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare Holo EX.

Extra Boost is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may attach a basic Energy card from your hand to 1 of your Stage 2 Pokémon-ex. This power can't be used if Altaria ex is affected by a Special Condition. The attack Healing Light lists 60 damage. The cost is Water, Colorless, Colorless. Remove 1 damage counter from each of your Pokémon. Weakness is Colorless ×2. Resistance is Grass -30 and Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Altaria (#334) has 38 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2024. The earliest other card is Altaria 2/97 in Dragon (2003). That card is named Altaria, while this one is Altaria ex δ. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Shizurow illustrated this one. 37 other cards of Altaria list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Shizurow. I count 79 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Dragon Frontiers set binder is where a full Dragon Frontiers set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Altaria can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Delta Species cards. I still need this card.
