Altaria 2/108 · Power Keepers

Altaria is Pokédex #334, generation 3 (Hoenn). Altaria is a Stage 1 Colorless Pokémon with 80 HP. The card says it evolves from Swablu. In this catalog that name is Swablu (#333).

Altaria sits at 2/108 in Power Keepers, position 2 of 108. Before it is 1 Aggron, and after it is 3 Armaldo. The set belongs to the EX series. It was released on 2 February 2007. The printed size is 108, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Synergy Effect is listed as Poké-Body. If Drake's Stadium is in play, remove 1 damage counter from Altaria between turns. The attack Surprise lists 30 damage. The cost is Water, Colorless. Choose 1 card from your opponent's hand without looking. Look at the card you chose, then have your opponent shuffle that card into his or her deck. Gust is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Lightning, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Colorless ×2. Resistance is Grass -30 and Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 1.

Altaria (#334) has 38 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2024. The earliest other card is Altaria 2/97 in Dragon (2003). Both list 80 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Ken Sugimori illustrated this one. 30 other cards of Altaria list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Ken Sugimori. I count 1,112 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Power Keepers set binder is where a full Power Keepers set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Altaria can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
