Larry's Staraptor 249/217 · Ascended Heroes

Staraptor is Pokédex #398, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Larry's Staraptor is a Stage 2 Colorless Pokémon with 150 HP. The card says it evolves from Larry's Staravia. In this catalog that name is Staravia (#397).

Larry's Staraptor sits at 249/217 in Ascended Heroes, position 249 of 295. Before it is 248 Drakloak, and after it is 250 Fan Rotom. The set belongs to the Mega Evolution series. It was released on 30 January 2026. The printed size is 217. This checklist is longer, at 295 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 217. The listed rarity is Illustration Rare.

The attack Facade lists 60+ damage. The cost is Colorless. If this Pokémon is Burned or Poisoned, this attack does 100 more damage. Feathery Strike is another attack lists 150 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Discard 2 Energy from this Pokémon, and this attack also does 50 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It never stops attacking even if it is injured. It fusses over the shape of its comb." The regulation mark is J.

Staraptor (#398) has 11 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 10 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Staraptor 16/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card is named Staraptor, while this one is Larry's Staraptor. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 150 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Illustration Rare. Masahiko Ishii illustrated that card, and kantaro illustrated this one. 7 other cards of Staraptor list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads kantaro. I count 33 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Ascended Heroes set binder is where a full Ascended Heroes set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Staraptor can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Trainer's Pokémon. I still need this card.
