Rampardos ex 45/84 · Pitch Black

Rampardos is Pokédex #409, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Rampardos ex is a Stage 2 ex Fighting Pokémon with 330 HP. The card says it evolves from Cranidos. In this catalog that name is Cranidos (#408).

Rampardos ex sits at 45/84 in Pitch Black, position 45 of 120. Before it is 44 Cranidos, and after it is 46 Drilbur. The set belongs to the Mega Evolution series. It was released on 17 July 2026. The printed size is 84. This checklist is longer, at 120 cards. The listed rarity is Double Rare.

Destructive Headbutting is listed as Ability. Once during your turn, if this Pokémon is in the Active Spot, you may use this Ability. Flip a coin. If heads, discard an Energy from your opponent's Active Pokémon. The attack Rowdy Hammer lists 150 damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting. During your next turn, attacks used by this Pokémon do 150 more damage to your opponent's Active Pokémon (before applying Weakness and Resistance). Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is J.

Rampardos (#409) has 7 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 7 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Rampardos 33/123 in Mysterious Treasures (2007). That card is named Rampardos, while this one is Rampardos ex. That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 330 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Double Rare. Kazuyuki Kano illustrated that card, and hncl illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 6 other cards of Rampardos list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads hncl. I count 30 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Pitch Black set binder is where a full Pitch Black set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Rampardos can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Fossil Pokémon. I still need this card.
