Feraligatr 4/111 · Neo Genesis

Neo Genesis is a set in the Neo series. It was released on 16 December 2000. The printed size is 111, and the checklist is the same length. Feraligatr is 4/111, in position 4 of 111 on this checklist. Before it is 3 Bellossom, and after it is 5 Feraligatr. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Feraligatr is a Stage 2 Water Pokémon with 100 HP. The card lists level 56. In the Pokédex this is Feraligatr (#160), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Croconaw. In this catalog that name is Croconaw (#159).

Ken Sugimori illustrated this card. The same name is on 1,112 other cards in the catalog.

Feraligatr (#160) has 21 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 16 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2026. The earliest other card is Feraligatr 5/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. 20 other cards of Feraligatr list a different HP.

Berserk is listed as Pokémon Power. When you play Feraligatr from your hand, flip a coin. If heads, discard the top 5 cards from your opponent's deck. If tails, discard the top 5 cards from your deck. The attack Chomp lists 50+ damage. The cost is Water, Water, Water, Water. Flip a number of coins equal to the number of damage counters on Feraligatr. This attack does 50 damage plus 10 more damage for each heads. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "When it bites with its massive and powerful jaws, it shakes its head and savagely tears its victim up."

I keep a set binder for Neo Genesis, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Neo Genesis set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Feraligatr can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Johto starters. I still need this card.
