Girafarig 58/111 · Neo Genesis

Girafarig is Pokédex #203, generation 2 (Johto). Girafarig is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 60 HP. The card lists level 20.

Girafarig sits at 58/111 in Neo Genesis, position 58 of 111. Before it is 57 Cyndaquil, and after it is 59 Gligar. The set belongs to the Neo series. It was released on 16 December 2000. The printed size is 111, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Common.

The attack Agility lists 10 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, during your opponent's next turn, prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to Girafarig. Psybeam is another attack lists 20 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Confused. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Its tail has a small brain of its own. Beware! If you get close, it may react to your scent and bite."

Girafarig (#203) has 13 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2002 to 2024. The earliest other card is Girafarig 66/105 in Neo Destiny (2002). Both list 60 HP. Both list the rarity Common. Yuka Morii illustrated that card, and Ken Sugimori illustrated this one. 11 other cards of Girafarig list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Ken Sugimori. I count 1,112 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Neo Genesis set binder is where a full Neo Genesis set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Girafarig can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
