Girafarig 66/105 · Neo Destiny

Girafarig is Pokédex #203, generation 2 (Johto). Girafarig is a Basic Colorless Pokémon with 60 HP. The card lists level 29.

Girafarig sits at 66/105 in Neo Destiny, position 66 of 113. Before it is 65 Gastly, and after it is 67 Gligar. The set belongs to the Neo series. It was released on 28 February 2002. The printed size is 105. This checklist is longer, at 113 cards. The listed rarity is Common.

The attack Tail Bite lists 10+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 10 damage plus 20 more damage; if tails, this attack does 10 damage. Psychic is another attack lists 10+ damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic. Does 10 damage plus 10 more damage for each Energy card attached to the Defending Pokémon. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Its tail has a brain of its own, which can respond to stimuli such as scents. Many unsuspecting people have been bitten by it."

Girafarig (#203) has 13 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2024. The earliest other card is Girafarig 58/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). Both list 60 HP. Both list the rarity Common. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Yuka Morii illustrated this one. 11 other cards of Girafarig list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Yuka Morii. I count 204 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Neo Destiny set binder is where a full Neo Destiny set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Girafarig can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Yuka Morii clay cards. I still need this card.
