Giratina 9/127 · Platinum

Giratina is Pokédex #487, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Giratina is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 100 HP. The card lists level 55.

Giratina sits at 9/127 in Platinum, position 9 of 133. Before it is 8 Gardevoir, and after it is 10 Giratina. The set belongs to the Platinum series. It was released on 11 February 2009. The printed size is 127. This checklist is longer, at 133 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Let Loose is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn, when you put Giratina from your hand onto your Bench, you may use this power. Each player shuffles his or her hand into his or her deck and draws up to 4 cards. (You draw your cards first.) The attack Earth Power lists 60 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Colorless. Flip 2 coins. This attack does 10 damage times the number of heads to each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Colorless -20. Retreat cost is 3.

Giratina (#487) has 29 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2023. The earliest other card is Giratina LV.X DP38/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card is named Giratina LV.X, while this one is Giratina. That card lists 130 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. Shizurow illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. 26 other cards of Giratina list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kouki Saitou. I count 652 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Platinum set binder is where a full Platinum set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Giratina can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. I still need this card.
