Quagsire SV10/94 · Hidden Fates Shiny Vault

Hidden Fates Shiny Vault is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on 23 August 2019. The printed size is 94, and the checklist is the same length. Quagsire is SV10/94, in position 10 of 94 on this checklist. Before it is SV9 Wooper, and after it is SV11 Froakie. The listed rarity is Rare Shiny.

Quagsire is a Stage 1 Water Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Quagsire (#195), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Wooper. In this catalog that name is Wooper (#194).

Saya Tsuruta illustrated this card. The same name is on 123 other cards in the catalog.

Quagsire (#195) has 15 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2023. The earliest other card is Quagsire 45/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare Shiny. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Saya Tsuruta illustrated this one. 11 other cards of Quagsire list a different HP.

Wash Out is listed as Ability. As often as you like during your turn (before your attack), you may move a Water Energy from 1 of your Benched Pokémon to your Active Pokémon. The attack Hydro Pump lists 60+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 20 more damage times the amount of Water Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "This carefree Pokémon has an easygoing nature. While swimming, it always bumps into boat hulls."

I keep a set binder for Hidden Fates Shiny Vault, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Hidden Fates Shiny Vault set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Quagsire can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Saya Tsuruta cards. I still need this card.
