Alolan Ninetales-GX SV53/94 · Hidden Fates Shiny Vault

Ninetales is Pokédex #038, generation 1 (Kanto). Alolan Ninetales-GX is a Stage 1 GX Water Pokémon with 210 HP. The card says it evolves from Alolan Vulpix. In this catalog that name is Vulpix (#037).

Alolan Ninetales-GX sits at SV53/94 in Hidden Fates Shiny Vault, position 53 of 94. Before it is SV52 Turtonator-GX, and after it is SV54 Articuno-GX. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on 23 August 2019. The printed size is 94, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare Shiny GX.

The attack Ice Blade lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 50 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Blizzard Edge is another attack lists 160 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Colorless. Discard 2 Energy from this Pokémon. Ice Path-GX is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Move all damage counters from this Pokémon to your opponent's Active Pokémon. (You can't use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) Weakness is Metal ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: Pokémon-GX rule: When your Pokémon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Ninetales (#038) has 55 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 40 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Ninetales 12/102 in Base (1999). That card is named Ninetales, while this one is Alolan Ninetales-GX. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 210 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Shiny GX. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 52 other cards of Ninetales list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Hidden Fates Shiny Vault set binder is where a full Hidden Fates Shiny Vault set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Ninetales can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Alolan forms and Vulpix and Ninetales. I still need this card.
