Mew SM215/248 · SM Black Star Promos

Mew is Pokédex #151, generation 1 (Kanto). Mew is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 60 HP.

Mew sits at SM215/248 in SM Black Star Promos, position 218 of 251. Before it is SM214 Mewtwo, and after it is SM216 Porygon-Z-GX. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on 3 February 2017. The printed size is 248. This checklist is longer, at 251 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

Bench Barrier is listed as Ability. Prevent all damage done to your Benched Pokémon by your opponent's attacks. The attack Psypower lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Put 3 damage counters on your opponent's Pokémon in any way you like. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Because it can use all kinds of moves, many scientists believe Mew to be the ancestor of Pokémon."

Mew (#151) has 60 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 35 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Mew 8/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 60 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this one. 47 other cards of Mew list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Masakazu Fukuda. I count 471 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

SM Black Star Promos set binder is where a full SM Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mew can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mew and Mewtwo. I still need this card.
