Pheromosa-GX SM66/248 · SM Black Star Promos

Pheromosa is Pokédex #795, generation 7 (Alola). Pheromosa-GX is a Basic GX Ultra Beast Grass Pokémon with 170 HP.

Pheromosa-GX sits at SM66/248 in SM Black Star Promos, position 67 of 251. Before it is SM65 Alolan Raichu, and after it is SM67 Celesteela-GX. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on 3 February 2017. The printed size is 248. This checklist is longer, at 251 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Fast Raid lists 30 damage. The cost is Grass. If you go first, you can use this attack on your first turn. Cruel Spike is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Grass, Grass. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Confused. Beauty-GX is another attack lists 50× damage. The cost is Grass, Grass. This attack does 50 damage for each Prize card your opponent has taken. (You can't use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: Pokémon-GX rule: When your Pokémon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Pheromosa (#795) has 9 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 5 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2019. The earliest other card is Pheromosa SM115/248 in SM Black Star Promos (2017). That card is named Pheromosa, while this one is Pheromosa-GX. That card lists 110 HP, and this one lists 170 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. You Iribi illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 7 other cards of Pheromosa list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

SM Black Star Promos set binder is where a full SM Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Pheromosa can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). Themed lists that include this exact card are Ultra Beasts. I still need this card.
