Mimikyu 37/91 · Paldean Fates

Mimikyu is Pokédex #778, generation 7 (Alola). Mimikyu is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 70 HP.

Mimikyu sits at 37/91 in Paldean Fates, position 37 of 245. Before it is 36 Dedenne, and after it is 38 Fidough. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on 26 January 2024. The printed size is 91. This checklist is longer, at 245 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

Safeguard is listed as Ability. Prevent all damage done to this Pokémon by attacks from your opponent's Pokémon ex and Pokémon V. The attack Ghost Eye lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Put 7 damage counters on your opponent's Active Pokémon. Weakness is Metal ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "This Pokémon lives in dark places untouched by sunlight. When it appears before humans, it hides itself under a cloth that resembles a Pikachu." The regulation mark is G.

Mimikyu (#778) has 33 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2026. The earliest other card is Mimikyu SM29/248 in SM Black Star Promos (2017). Both list 70 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this one. 18 other cards of Mimikyu list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kagemaru Himeno. I count 656 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Paldean Fates set binder is where a full Paldean Fates set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mimikyu can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). Themed lists that include this exact card are Halloween: Ghost Pokémon, All Mimikyu cards, and Tiny Pokémon. I still need this card.
