Rayquaza 138/185 · Vivid Voltage

Vivid Voltage is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 13 November 2020. The printed size is 185. This checklist is longer, at 203 cards. Rayquaza is 138/185, in position 138 of 203 on this checklist. Before it is 137 Exploud, and after it is 139 Chatot. The listed rarity is Amazing Rare.

Rayquaza is a Basic Colorless Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Rayquaza (#384), generation 3 (Hoenn).

5ban Graphics illustrated this card. The same name is on 1,629 other cards in the catalog.

Rayquaza (#384) has 59 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 30 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Rayquaza ex 39/40 in Nintendo Black Star Promos (2003). That card is named Rayquaza ex, while this one is Rayquaza. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Amazing Rare. Ryo Ueda illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 49 other cards of Rayquaza list a different HP.

The attack Amazing Burst lists 80× damage. The cost is Grass, Lightning, Fighting. Discard all basic Energy from this Pokémon. This attack does 80 damage for each type of basic Energy you discarded in this way. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It flies in the ozone layer, way up high in the sky. Until recently, no one had ever seen it." The regulation mark is D.

I keep a set binder for Vivid Voltage, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Vivid Voltage set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Rayquaza can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza, Giant Pokémon, and All Rayquaza cards. I still need this card.
