Mimikyu V 62/163 · Battle Styles

Mimikyu is Pokédex #778, generation 7 (Alola). Mimikyu V is a Basic V Psychic Pokémon with 160 HP.

Mimikyu V sits at 62/163 in Battle Styles, position 62 of 183. Before it is 61 Meowstic, and after it is 63 Necrozma V. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 19 March 2021. The printed size is 163. This checklist is longer, at 183 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo V.

Dummy Doll is listed as Ability. When you play this Pokémon from your hand onto your Bench during your turn, you may prevent all damage done to this Mimikyu V by attacks from your opponent's Pokémon until the end of your opponent's next turn. The attack Jealous Eyes lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic. Put 3 damage counters on your opponent's Active Pokémon for each Prize card your opponent has taken. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: V rule: When your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is E.

Mimikyu (#778) has 33 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2026. The earliest other card is Mimikyu SM29/248 in SM Black Star Promos (2017). That card is named Mimikyu, while this one is Mimikyu V. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 160 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo V. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Eske Yoshinob illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 30 other cards of Mimikyu list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Eske Yoshinob. I count 177 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Battle Styles set binder is where a full Battle Styles set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mimikyu can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). Themed lists that include this exact card are All Mimikyu cards. I still need this card.
