Galarian Runerigus 83/198 · Chilling Reign

Runerigus is Pokédex #867, generation 8 (Galar). Galarian Runerigus is a Stage 1 Fighting Pokémon with 120 HP. The card says it evolves from Galarian Yamask. In this catalog that name is Yamask (#562).

Galarian Runerigus sits at 83/198 in Chilling Reign, position 83 of 233. Before it is 82 Galarian Yamask, and after it is 84 Crabrawler. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 18 June 2021. The printed size is 198. This checklist is longer, at 233 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Spiteful Slate is listed as Ability. If this Pokémon is in the Active Spot and is damaged by an attack from your opponent's Pokémon VMAX (even if this Pokémon is Knocked Out), put damage counters on the Attacking Pokémon equal to the damage done to this Pokémon. The attack Energy Press lists 60+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 20 more damage for each Energy attached to your opponent's Active Pokémon. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Never touch its shadowlike body, or you'll be shown the horrific memories behind the picture carved into it." The regulation mark is E.

Runerigus (#867) has 2 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 2 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2020 to 2021. The earliest other card is Galarian Runerigus 102/192 in Rebel Clash (2020). That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Rare Holo. TOKIYA illustrated that card, and KEIICHIRO ITO illustrated this one. The regulation mark there is D, and here it is E. 2 other cards of Runerigus list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads KEIICHIRO ITO. I count 50 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Chilling Reign set binder is where a full Chilling Reign set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Runerigus can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). Themed lists that include this exact card are Galarian forms. I still need this card.
