Wishiwashi 46/203 · Evolving Skies

Wishiwashi is Pokédex #746, generation 7 (Alola). Wishiwashi is a Basic Rapid Strike Water Pokémon with 30 HP.

Wishiwashi sits at 46/203 in Evolving Skies, position 46 of 237. Before it is 45 Avalugg, and after it is 47 Eiscue. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 27 August 2021. The printed size is 203. This checklist is longer, at 237 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

Group Power is listed as Ability. If this Pokémon has 3 or more Water Energy attached, it gets +150 HP. The attack Schooling Shot lists 30+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 30 more damage for each basic Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "When it senses danger, its eyes tear up. The sparkle of its tears signals other Wishiwashi to gather." The regulation mark is E.

Wishiwashi (#746) has 11 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 6 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2026. The earliest other card is Wishiwashi 44/149 in Sun & Moon (2017). Both list 30 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Teeziro illustrated this one. 6 other cards of Wishiwashi list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Teeziro. I count 70 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Evolving Skies set binder is where a full Evolving Skies set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Wishiwashi can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). Themed lists that include this exact card are Rapid Strike. I still need this card.
