Crobat VMAX SWSH099/307 · SWSH Black Star Promos

Crobat is Pokédex #169, generation 2 (Johto). Crobat VMAX is a VMAX Darkness Pokémon with 300 HP. The card says it evolves from Crobat V. In this catalog that name is Crobat (#169).

Crobat VMAX sits at SWSH099/307 in SWSH Black Star Promos, position 99 of 304. Before it is SWSH098 Crobat V, and after it is SWSH100 Venusaur V. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 15 November 2019. The printed size is 307. This checklist is longer, at 304 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Stealth Poison lists 70 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Poisoned. Switch this Pokémon with 1 of your Benched Pokémon. Max Cutter is another attack lists 180 damage. The cost is Darkness, Darkness, Colorless. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: VMAX rule: When your Pokémon VMAX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards. The regulation mark is D.

Crobat (#169) has 37 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Crobat 4/64 in Neo Revelation (2001). That card is named Crobat, while this one is Crobat VMAX. That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 300 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Promo. Shin-ichi Yoshida illustrated that card, and PLANETA Tsuji illustrated this one. 36 other cards of Crobat list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads PLANETA Tsuji. I count 81 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

SWSH Black Star Promos set binder is where a full SWSH Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Crobat can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are VMAX cards. I still need this card.
