Slaking 83/111 · Furious Fists

Furious Fists is a set in the XY series. It was released on 13 August 2014. The printed size is 111. This checklist is longer, at 114 cards. Slaking is 83/111, in position 84 of 114 on this checklist. Before it is 82 Vigoroth, and after it is 84 Patrat. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Slaking is a Stage 2 Colorless Pokémon with 150 HP. In the Pokédex this is Slaking (#289), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Vigoroth. In this catalog that name is Vigoroth (#288).

PLANETA illustrated this card. The same name is on 47 other cards in the catalog.

Slaking (#289) has 15 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2024. The earliest other card is Slaking 12/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 150 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and PLANETA illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 4. 13 other cards of Slaking list a different HP.

The attack Amnesia lists 50 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Choose 1 of your opponent's Active Pokémon's attacks. That Pokémon can't use that attack during your opponent's next turn. Knuckle Sandwich is another attack lists 120 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Discard an Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 4. The flavor text reads "The world's laziest Pokémon. It moves to another spot when there's no food left within its reach."

I keep a set binder for Furious Fists, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Furious Fists set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Slaking can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
