Slaking 103/124 · Dragons Exalted

Dragons Exalted is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on 15 August 2012. The printed size is 124. This checklist is longer, at 128 cards. Slaking is 103/124, in position 103 of 128 on this checklist. Before it is 102 Vigoroth, and after it is 104 Swablu. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Slaking is a Stage 2 Colorless Pokémon with 150 HP. In the Pokédex this is Slaking (#289), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Vigoroth. In this catalog that name is Vigoroth (#288).

Naoki Saito illustrated this card. The same name is on 270 other cards in the catalog.

Slaking (#289) has 15 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2024. The earliest other card is Slaking 12/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 150 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Naoki Saito illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 4. 13 other cards of Slaking list a different HP.

Unobservant is listed as Ability. If your opponent's Active Pokémon is a Basic Pokémon, this Pokémon can't attack. The attack Crushing Blow lists 100 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Discard an Energy attached to the Defending Pokémon. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 4. The flavor text reads "The world's laziest Pokémon. When it is lounging, it is actually saving energy for striking back."

I keep a set binder for Dragons Exalted, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Dragons Exalted set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Slaking can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
