Snorlax 118/162 · BREAKthrough

BREAKthrough is a set in the XY series. It was released on 4 November 2015. The printed size is 162. This checklist is longer, at 165 cards. Snorlax is 118/162, in position 118 of 165 on this checklist. Before it is 117 Dodrio, and after it is 119 Hoothoot. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Snorlax is a Basic Colorless Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Snorlax (#143), generation 1 (Kanto).

Kouki Saitou illustrated this card. The same name is on 652 other cards in the catalog.

Snorlax (#143) has 55 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 42 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Snorlax 11/64 in Jungle (1999). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. 54 other cards of Snorlax list a different HP.

Plump Body is listed as Ability. Any damage done to this Pokémon by attacks is reduced by 30 (after applying Weakness and Resistance). The attack Knock Away lists 50+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 more damage. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 4. The flavor text reads "It is not satisfied unless it eats over 880 pounds of food every day. When it is done eating, it goes promptly to sleep."

I keep a set binder for BREAKthrough, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the BREAKthrough set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Snorlax can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Snorlax and Munchlax. I still need this card.
