Crobat BREAK XY181/211 · XY Black Star Promos

Crobat is Pokédex #169, generation 2 (Johto). Crobat BREAK is a BREAK Psychic Pokémon with 160 HP. The card says it evolves from Crobat. In this catalog that name is Crobat (#169).

Crobat BREAK sits at XY181/211 in XY Black Star Promos, position 184 of 216. Before it is XY180 Arcanine BREAK, and after it is XY182 Mandibuzz BREAK. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on 12 October 2013. The printed size is 211. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Silent Bite lists 60 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. You may leave your opponent's Active Pokémon Paralyzed. If you do, shuffle this Pokémon and all cards attached to into your deck. The card text says: BREAK Evolution Rule: Crobat BREAK retains the attacks, Abilities, Weakness, Resistance, and Retreat Cost of its previous Evolution.

Crobat (#169) has 37 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 26 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Crobat 4/64 in Neo Revelation (2001). That card is named Crobat, while this one is Crobat BREAK. That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 160 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Promo. Shin-ichi Yoshida illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 37 other cards of Crobat list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

XY Black Star Promos set binder is where a full XY Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Crobat can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are BREAK Evolution. I still need this card.
